After composing the multimedia oratorio Creation for the Millikin University Women’s Choir and Millikin University Percussion Ensemble, I found that I wanted to embark on an even greater choral endeavor – an opera.

Libertaria: The Virtual Opera uniquely combines a dedicated cast with sound synthesis, animation, machinima, a virtual choir, and an electronic score. With music inspired by contemporary classical music, electroacoustic music, and even some jazz, the score for Libertaria is a unique blend of traditional choral music enveloped within a fresh and current sound.

Libertaria: The Virtual Opera first screenings will be in 2013. Cast member recordings and music production will take place during 2011 until spring 2012, with final mastering and syncing with animation taking place during summer/fall 2012.
